subsistence farming is basically for a family and community only for their own survival with no intention of getting profit. They just cultivate for their own consumption.
But intensive farming is for mass production of crop that can supply enough to consumers. It requires large capital, labor, fertilizer and pesticides and its main motto is to earn profit
