What is Suspense Account? How is it opened and how is it closed?

When ever due to any errors the the figures of assets and liabilities does not match, a suspense account is opened and the mis- matching amount is put into that account. Later when the error is revealed on checking of the books, the amount of suspense account is sent to that account.
