This means we cannot continue using current levels of resources as this will not leave enough for future generations. Stabilising and reducing carbon emissions is key to living within environmental limits.
A pattern of development that promises the use of resources in a way that meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come. It is a need in the present times because the rate of population growth and consumption are rising higher that the the existent resources some of which are non replenishable.
