symbiotic life forms that grow on the bark of tree as large colour patches are called linches.linches are the symbiotic associations between fungi and algae wearing the algal partner provides organic food to the fungal partner which in turn provides protein and absorb nutrients. the colour of lynches is due to pigment of algae
