Banjaras practice Hinduism and are frequently referred to as the Gypsies of India. The settlements of Banjaras known as Tandas that are widely spread throughout India.

Usually, tandas live near a body of water, such as a river, pond, lake, well, etc. Banjaras are one of the old ancient traditional people groups that have for generations maintained their culture and traditions.
