Taxon/ taxa is a general term for a grouping in a systematic classification of organims whatever its rank.
A natural taxon refers to a group of similar, genetically related individuals havinf certain characters distinct from those of other groups.
For. Eg:- all the insects form a taxon, so do the fishes, frogs, lizards, birds etc.
The degree of relationship and of similarity varies with the rank of the taxon. Individuals of a higher rank, are closely related than those of a lower rank.

6-Phyla/ Division
7-Kingdom.
