Difference_

I. Mass is the quantity of matter contained in the body.

Weight is the force of gravity acting on the body.

II. It is the measure of inertia of the body.

It is the measure of gravity.

III. Mass is a constant quantity.

Weight is not a constant quantity.

It is different at different places.

IV. It only has magnitude.

It has magnitude as well as direction.

V. Its SI unit is kilogram (kg).

Its SI unit is the same as the SI unit of force, i.e., Newton (N).

hey

mass

amount of substance present in an object

its SI unit is kg

it can never be zero

mass is always same

Weight

the force by which object is attracted towards earth

SI unit is newton

it can be zero at the centre of the earth

it is not same everywhere

Gravitation

the force of attraction between two bodies it is known as gravitational force

Laws of gravitation

every objects in the universe attracts some other objects with some force which is inversly proportional to sqaure of distance between them and their mass is directly proportional

more the mass between two bodies mote the gravitational force has magnitude

more the distance less the gravitational force
