Why electric field lines are away from positive charge and towards to negative charge?​

These pattern of lines, sometimes referred to as electric field lines, point in the direction that a positive test charge would accelerate if placed upon the line. As such, the lines are directed away from positively charged source charges and toward negatively charged source charges.

beacuse protons have positive charge and electron have negative and in current only electron will flow protons doesnot so electron movement create current so electric field lines are always toward negative charge. hope it will understand..
