Concept:

A number series consists of a certain pattern. So to find out the missing number or next number we have to identify the pattern and once we identify the pattern we can easily find the missing number or next number.

Given:

The given series is 1,4,9,25,35,63...................

Find:

We need to find the 8^{th} term of the series.

Solution:

The Series is 1,4,9,25,35,63

First we will take the difference between two consecutive terms i.e.4-1 = 3, 9-4=5, 25-9=16, 35-25=10, 63-35=28.

So, here we got the new series 3, 5, 16,10,28.

Now we have two groups of alternative terms as 3,16,28, ? & 5, 10, ?

In first series we have this logic: 3+13=16+12=28+11=39

In second series we have this logic 5+5=10+5=15

So, difference between two consecutive terms will be 3,5 16,10,28,15,39

and terms will be

1,1+3=4,4+5=9,9+16=25,25+10=35,35+28=63,63+15=78,78+39=117.

Hence , 7^{th} term of series is 78 & 8^{th} term of series is 117 .
