What is the acceleration of the block and the trolley system?

Acceleration =force/ (mass of the box) m/sec^2. So, (mass × accelaration due to gravity)/mass is the acceleration =g.


The gradient of the line may be correlated with 1/mass of the system (trolley and slotted masses).


This may be conducted to provide data for the complementary relationship indicated by Newton's second law: for a given applied force, the acceleration of the trolley is inversely proportional to its mass.
