Acid rain is a rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic, meaning that it has elevated levels of hydrogen ions (low pH). It can have harmful effects on plants, aquatic animals, and infrastructure. Acid rain is caused by emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide, which react with the water molecules in the atmosphere to produce acids

It is the result for Air pollution. Acid rain is the mixture of sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide and nitrogen dioxide

when it is mixed with the rain drops it becomes sulfuric acid, carbonic acid and nitric acid which are realeased into the air as pollutants. Acid rain damages buildings, soil,plants and animals

Hence it is our responsibility to minimise air pollution
