PbS + 4O3 → PbSO4 + 4O. Lead(II) sulfide react with ozone to produce lead(II) sulfate and oxygen. The reaction proceeds at room temperature.
NO + O3 → NO2 + O2 + hν
which can be measured with a photodetector. The amount of light produced is proportional to the amount of nitric oxide in the sample.
