What is the advantage of connecting resistors in parallel over connecting them in series

A parallel circuit divides the current through the electrical gadgets. The total resistance in parallel circuit is also decreased as a result it consumes less electricity. Asli it is helpful particularly when each gadget has different resistance and requires different current to operate properly.

In case of series, when one component fails the whole circuit gets broken and none of them work but this is not the case with parallel.
