A photosystem (or Pigment system) is a group of around 250_400 pigment molecules having chlorophyll-a, chlorophyll-b,carotenoids etc...One molecule of chlorophyll functions as a reaction centre or trapping centre and the other molecules acts as light harvesting complex (LHC)or antenna molecules.
.......These ANTENNA MOLECULES collect light energy of various wavelengths and then transfer this energy to reaction centre(where primary photochemical act. i.e.,absorption of a photon and release if an electron occurs.......
