1. Unicellular organisms are simple and have short life span whereas multicellular organisms are complex and have long life span than Unicellulars.
2. Multicellulars have well developed organs for different life processes such as respiration, digestion, excretion, etc but Unicellulars have no any specific organs like Multicellulars.

The advantage of multicellularity, when compared to unicellularity is that the life span of organisms is higher in the case of multicellular organisms since they have a large number of cells to maintain various functions than the unicellular organism.
Multicellular organisms have a huge number of cells that are specialized into tissues to perform various metabolic activities whereas, in a unicellular organism all the functions are performed by a single cell hence the death or aging of that single cell may lead to various dysfunctions in the organs of the unicellular organisms.
