By sharing a workbook you can keep track of the changes other people make and accept or reject those changes as desired.

The steps to share an Excel workbook:

The following are the steps to share a workbook-

  1. Open the workbook you want to share.
  2. Go to changes group on review tab and click share workbook option.
  3. Share workbook dialog box appears.
  4. On the editing tab, click on the checkbox, allow changes by more than one user at the same time. This also allows workbook merging.
  5. Click on advanced tab, select the options that you want to use for tracking and updating changes, and then click on ok.
  6. Then, click ok to save, if the file is existing or else type the filename and then click ok.
  7. If the workbook contains links, verify them and update broken links.
  8. Click on File > Save.
