QUESTION :-

What is the angle subtended at the centre of a circle of radius 4 cm by an are length 2 π cm.

SOLUTION :-

Given:

Radius of Circle (r)= 10 cm

Length of an Arc (l)= 5π cm

If the radius of a circle is r , θ be the angle and length of the arc is l, then

Length of the arc (l) = (θ /180) × πr

5π= (θ /180) × π × 10

5 × 180 = θ × 10

θ =(5 × 180) / 10

θ = 180 /2 = 90°

Hence, the angle subtended at the centre of a circle is 90°.
