The Anglo-Indian Wars were the several wars fought in the Indian Subcontinent, over a period of time, between the British East India Company and different Indian states, mainly the Mughal Empires, Nawabs of Bengal, Marathas, the Sikh Empire and the Kingdom of Mysore. These wars led to the establishment of British colonial rule in India.
