Expanding the equation, we have:

[tex]\frac{5 x}{8} - \frac{15}{4} = 4 x + 25 [/tex]

On solving for x, we get:

x = -\frac{230}{27}

Given 5/8(x - 6) = 25 + 4x.

5(x - 6)/8 = 25 + 4x

5x - 30/8 = 25 + 4x

5x - 30 = 8(25 + 4x)

5x - 30 = 200 + 32x

5x = 32x + 230

5x - 32x = 230

-27x = 230

x = -230/27

x = -8.51.

Hope this helps!
