Answer:

consider the Rectangle shap

Area of rectangle = L× b

= 20 ×21

= 420

Now consider the traingle.

Area of triangle =1/2× base × height

= 1/2× 20× 21

= 10× 21

= 210

Whole area is = 210 + 420

=630

Here ABCD is a trapezium

Now, let's divide the trapezium into two parts i. e. Rectangle (ADCE) &Triangle (BCE)

Area of Trapezium(ABCD)= Area of Rectangle (ADCE) + Area of Triangle (BCE)

Now,

Length of Rectangle (ADCE)

= 21m

Breadth = AB-AE = 40-20= 20m

therefore,

Area of Rectangle=length×breadth

= 21×20

= 420m²

Now,

Height of triangle (BCE) = 21m because AD is parallel to CE .

Base = AB-AE = BE

= 40-20 = 20m

therefore,

Area of triangle(BCE) = 1/2×b×h

= 1/2×20×21

= 10×21

= 210m²

Now,

Area of trapezium= Area of Rectangle

(ADCE) + Area of

triangle (BCE)

= 420 + 210

= 630m² Ans.
