Answer :-

→ Area of major sector = (360° - angle at centre)/360° * (22/7) * (radius)²

→ Area of major sector = (360° - 120°)/360° * (22/7) * 14 * 14

→ Area of major sector = (240°/360°) = 22 * 2 * 14

→ Area of major sector = (2/3) * 44 * 14

→ Area of major sector = (88 * 14)/3

→ Area of major sector = 410.67 cm² (Ans)

HELLO DEAR,

GIVEN:- A major sector of circle whose radius is 14 ft.

TO FIND:- The area of major sector.

SOLUTION:-

Area of sector of circle = (πr²Ф)/(360°)

And Ф of major sector = 360° - 120°

= 240°

So, area of major sector

=( πr²Ф)/(360°)

= (3.14 × 14 × 14 × 240°)/ (360°)

= 410 square ft.

THANKS.
