To find : The area of the region bounded
Solution : Area = Area bounded by cure y = 1/x from x = 1 to x = 6
• Area = ∫1/x dx ( x from 1 to 6 )
= ln|x| ( x from 1 to 6 )
Area = ln6 - ln1 { ln1 = 0}
• Area = ln6
Hence, the area of the region bounded by the curve y =1/x, the x-axis and between x = 1 to x = 6 is ln6
