What is the area of the square formed after the first old? Second fold? Third fold?

-Every fold you make on the square will halve the area of the square(that is if the fold line runs through the center).
take for example a square with sides 8 by 8 units. when you fold it once, it will form a rectangle of sides 8 by 4 units. The next fold will result into a square with sides 4 by 4 units.
-This however depends on the fold line, if it is a diagonal it will form a triangle with half the area.(you can try it practically).
Therefore if the area is 64 units then after the first fold the resulting area will be 32 units. After the second fold, the resulting area will be 16 units and after the third fold, the area will be 8 units.
 After the third fold the area will be 1/8 of the original area.
