atomicity=14

Explanation:

  1. Atomicity is the number of atoms present in any element.For example: atomicity of N2 is 2.
  2. Similarly here first we need to count the number of elements then subsequently number of atoms of each element.

Here there are elements:carbon (C)

hydrogen(H)

oxygen(O)

So there are 2 carbon atoms

2 hydrogen atoms in C2H2O4 and 4 hydrogen atoms in 2H2O.So total 6 hydrogen atoms.

Similarly 4 oxygen atoms in C2H2O4 and 2 in 2H2O. So total 6 oxygen atoms.

Therefore, total atoms of all elements =2 carbon atoms+6 hydrogen atoms +6 oxygen atoms=

2+6+6=14.

Thus,atomicity of C2H2O4 =14.
