total no. of ways the given five digits can be arranged all at a time is 5!

= 5*4*3*2*1 = 120 ways.

now we need to find average of those 120 numbers

now out of 120 ways, every digit will hold one place to ten thousand place 24 times

hence sum of all 120 numbers can be thought of as:

24*(50000+5000+500+50+5) + 24*(40000+4000+400+40+4) + 24*(30000+3000+300+30+3) + 24*(20000+2000+200+20+2) + 24*(10000+1000+100+10+1)

= 24*55555 + 24*44444 + 24*33333 + 24*22222 + 24*11111

= 24*166665

= 3999960

the average = 3999960/120

= 33333
