To Find : average velocity of the car over the first 0.25m

average velocity of the car over the second 0.25m

Solution:

At t = 0   ,  Distance = 0

at t = 2.23  Distance = 0.25 m

Average velocity =  0.25/2.23

= 0.112 m/s

= 0.11 m/s

second 0.25m is between  0.25 m and 0.5 m

at t = 2.23  Distance = 0.25 m

at t = 3.13  Distance = 0.5 m

Average velocity =  (0.5 -0.25)/(3.13 - 2.23)

= 0.25/0.9

= 0.277

= 0.28 m/s
