The basic criteria for development is Per capita income this criterian is used by the world bank to compare countries.
other criterians used leaving per capita income is health or infant mortality rate and litracy rate or education these 3 criteraian are used by UNDP in comparing the countries.
percapita income - it is the average income of the country . percapita income = total income/total population of the country.
Infant Mortality Rate - Number of children that die before the age of 1 year in proportion of 1000 live children born in that particular year.
Literacy Rate – A proportion of the population of an area at a particular time aged 7 years or above, who can read and write with understanding
