What is the biological function of sleep? Why do we dream? What are the underlying brain mechanisms? What is its relation to anesthesia?

by sleeping we get energy that we had lost in daytime so at sleeping time we get energy for datetime in mitochondria in the form of ATP.
we dreams because of losting energy .
