Answer:

length = 40 cm

width = 50 cm

height = 20 cm

volume of the rectangular tank = lbh

40 cm × 50 cm × 20 cm = 40000 cm^ 3

1 litre = 1000 cm ^3

40000 cm ^3 = 40000 / 1000 = 40 litre

Thus , the capacity of a rectangular tank is 40 litre.
