Hi!
Earthquakes are generally caused due to the movement of tectonic plates. Our World is divided into many segments by these plates. movement of these plates result in earthquake. It may be convergent movement or divergent movement or parallel movement.
However it ends up in a great mass destruction which spoils many lives.
