Friction is the force resisting the relative motion of solid surfaces, fluid layers, and material elements sliding against each other. There are several types of friction: Dry friction is a force that opposes the relative lateral motion of two solid surfaces in contact.

Answer:-

Friction :- Friction can be define as resisting the relative motion of Matters/Substances it includes Solid & liquids.

Ex:- A Child Sliding down a slide is an example of Friction Force.

Cause of Friction:-

Friction is caused by interlocking of irregular surfaces of two objects when both are in contact with each other.

In Other words, To Move One Object over another.

As we play Tug-of-War. One Team put all their energy to move them.

Another Ex:-

Suppose their is a box and two boys resulting 40 N & 50N Force in Opposite Directions. Hence, The Box will move in the same direction in which the 50N Force is exerted.
