Causes of variation in asexually reproducing organisms are as follows':'

• The main cause of variations do occur in asexual reproduction is due to mutations.

• Sometimes other factors like light, humidity, temperature also causes the variation in asexually reproducing organisms.

• Variations may also occur due to Mitotic recombination in asexually reproducing organisms.

• In asexual reproduction, offspring arise from the single organism.

• Offsprings are genetically identical to the parent. Some times a mutation occurs during cell division so the offspring differ to the parent cell.

• For example, asexual reproduction occurs in bacteria through Binary fission and Fungi through the Budding method.
