Answer:

(a) DNA replication: During DNA replication, changes in the genetic constitution occur while adding one more copy of DNA. It helps in causing variation which eventually leads to evolution and survival advantage.

(b) Environmental factors: Characteristics of organisms can be affected by factors such as climate, diet, culture and lifestyle. Variation caused by surroundings is called environmental variation.

(c) Sexual reproduction: Sexual reproduction involves the fusion of two different germ cells.  It involves the process of meiosis or gamete formation. During meiosis, crossing over takes place between the genes and hence, new combinations are formed. Thus, greater variations and hence, greater diversities are generated.

(d) Gene flow: The movement of genes from one population to another causes genetic variation amongst the population.

Hope it helps! if it did, pls mark as brainliest! :))

Answer:

Sexual Reproduction:Sexual reproductionpromotes genetic variationby producing different gene combinations. Meiosis is the process by which sex cells or gametes are created. ... The genetic recombination of genes also occurs during crossing over or the swapping of gene segments in homologous chromosomes during m

seiosis

Genetic Variation Causes

Genetic variation occurs mainly through DNAmutation, gene flow (movement of genes from one population to another), and sexual reproduction. ... Although mutations change an organism's genotype (geneticmakeup), they may not necessarily change an organism's phenotype
