Because of carbon emissions from fossil fuels such as coal, the carbon dioxide layer thickens and stores more heat increasing the temperature. Due to this, glaciers and snow caps met and increase the sea levels.

As the population increases, use of vehicles, machines, factories, deforestation etc. also increases and as result of this carbon dioxide layer thickens, increasing the heat and depleting the ozone layer. Which then results in melting of big icebergs and hence the sea level increases rapidly.
