The main idea of the poem is , we should always be confident on what quality we have. We should not feel jealous if anyone is succeeding in their lives and do not misguide anyone for sake of our self.

The Frog and the Nightingale:

Dear friends, in the poem "The Frog and the Nightingale", Vikram Seth describes the talent of the nightingale and how the frog exploits it.

The nightingale blindly followed the frog’s instructions and tried to pacify it till the end. But, the frog earned the money by using the talent of the bird and shouted at it when the bird lost its melodious voice.

It also tried to sing like the bird, which ended in futile. So, everyone’s talent is unique and it cannot be copied.
