There are at least four ways that the cm-g-s concept has been extended into the world of electromagnetism: electrostatic units (esu), electromagnetic units (emu), Gaussian units, and Heaviside-Lorentz units (these being the ones I am aware of—there may well be others I am not cognizant of).
