Griffin is the 'Invisible man' in the story The Invisible Man. He is seen visiting a small village with a bandaged head and bushy side whiskers. We and the characters in the story later realise that the bandages on his head we intended to hide the the fact that he is invisible from all. The invisibality happened due to an experiment he conducted on himself. He had in fact stolen money from his father to conduct his experiments. The money which belonged to someone else. The stealing had cause his father to kill himself. As the story progresses Dr. Griffin again begins stealing for his selfish wants and after a point looses his sanity. Through a note which he writes to his friend, he announces to all that he is out to kill one person a day beginning with his friend. By the end of the story, he is trapped and killed by the village folk and at his death his body again becomes visible.
