Glumdalclitch, was Gulliver's 9 year old nurse, who took care of him in Brobdingnag. He developed an affectionate bond with her, and she would protect him, take care of him, sew clothes for him etc. It was almost as if Gulliver had returned to a state of infancy and he thoroughly enjoyed being taken care of in the land of giants by the farmers daughter, whom he lovingly named Glumdalclitch, which meant 'Little Nurse' in Brobdingnagian.
