♦ Chemical composition of Ribosomes.

> 70s -- 60% r-RNA + 40 % proteins.

> 80s -- 40% r-Rna + 60 % proteins.

> 60s -- r-RNA 28s, 5.8s, 5s.

> 40s -- r-RNA 18s.

\Large{\textbf{\underline{\underline{Structure\;of\; Ribosomes :-}}}}

The ribosomes are ribonucleoproteinic obvate , spheroid structues. They are having two sub units one is larger sub unit having dom shaped structure and the other smaller sub units forming a cap like structure. They are composed of RNA and proteins.

\Large{\textbf{\underline{\underline{Types\;are :-}}}}

1. 70 S Ribosomes = They are present in prokaryotic cell

2. 80 S Ribosomes = They are present in eukaryotic cell.

It contain 34 percent protein and 66% RNA, as in eukaryotes they contain 40 percent protein and 60 percent RNA
