The primary functions of the lymph nodes are to destroy pathogens.

They are present throughout our body acting as blockages and obstructing foreign particles and develop a strong immune system.

However, they cannot detoxify the body on their own like the kidney or the liver.

They are also a kidney-shaped organ.
