Colour of an object

It depends on the behaviour of the object that , which Colour of light is absorbed and reflected by it from the light falling on it . Thus , Colour of an object depends on the wavelength of the light falling on it .

Colour of Opaque

Objects It depends upon the colour of the light reflected by itself . An object appear white when all the colour of the white light are reflected and the object appears black if none of the colours are reflected . When the object absorbs all the Colours except one then it appears to have the colour of the reflected light .

Colour of Transparent Objects

Any object which allows light to pass through it is known as a transparent object . The colour of any object is the Colour of the light transmitted by it . Ordinary window glass appears white because it allows all the colours in the white light to pass through it .

Primary Colours and Secondary Colours

Red , green and blue are primary Colours . All other colours can be formed by mixing these three colour in different ratios . These are called secondary colours .

Complementary Colours

Two colours which give white colour on mixing are called complementary colours
