Sharp, biological/clinical hazardous wastes are generally stored in yellow bins and when they are cytotoxic, in violet bins.
These bins should be placed in a highly accessible area near the workplace. Furthermore, these needles should be segregated based on tyoe of contamination wherein individual containers are properly labelled.
Contaminations could include chemical contaminations and cytotoxic contaminations.
The bins should not be overfilled.
