When a teak leaf is put in an alkali solution then it will remain colourless whereas in an acidic solution the colour will change to purple.
This is mainly followed up during the dyeing process in which the leaf undergoes certain conditions.
Then, after washing it up they will start showing the effect of acid or alkali solution.
