Answer

There is no common difference,.

E.g : a_n - a_{n-1} = d   (A.P)

a_2 - a_1 = d

√3 - 3 = √3(1 - √3)

d_1 = √3(1 - √3)

a_3 - a_2 = d

⇒ 1 - √3 = 1 - √3

d_2= 1 - √3

Since, d_1d_2

There is no common difference,.

But there is common ratio,.

r = \frac{a_n}{a_{n-1}}

r = \frac{a_2}{a_1} = \frac{3}{\sqrt{3} } = \sqrt{3}

r = \frac{a_3}{a_2} = \frac{\sqrt{3} }{1} = \sqrt{3}

⇒ Common ratio = √3.
