what is the common difference of 1n a.p in lwhich a21=a2=84

Let a is the first term and d is the common difference of an A.P.

tn= a+(n -1)d

a21= a+(21-1)d

= a+20d ..........(1)

a2= a+(2-1)d

= a+d .............(2)

From (1)&(2)

a+20d - a+d = 84

21d = 84

d = 84/21

d = 4

4 is your answer.....
