Whenever you are asked to find out common ratio in a given sequence of terms, you must find out the ratio of the the next term to the previous term, that is in the given sequence, take the ratio of 1.2/1/5, you find that they are in the ratio 4/5

Similarly, 0.96/ 1.2 = (96/100)/ (12/10) = (96 * 10) / (12*100) = 4/5

Similarly, 0.768/ 0.96 = ( 768/1000) / ( 96/100) = (768 * 100)/ ( 96 * 1000) = 768/ (96 * 10) = 4/5

Hence, the common ratio between successive terms is 4/5.

So , the answer is 4/5.
