Let A = 3i + 4j
      B =  i = j

Therefore, by using formula for component of one vector along another,

(A_{B})^{-\ \textgreater \ } = [tex][A^{-\ \textgreater \ }.B^{-\ \textgreater \ }/|B|][B^{-\ \textgreater \ }] [/tex]
                                                         =[(3)(1) + (4)(1)/ \sqrt{3^{2} + 4^{2}} ][i + j]
                                                         =(7/5)i + j

Omi272001: oh man the notation thing doesnt work. It basically is the dot product of A and B over the squareroot of the Magnitude of B, multiplied by B vector. Sorry about that.
