what is the composition of Protoplasm


anu625: Protoplasm is composed of a mixture of small molecules such as ions, amino acids,monosaccharides and water, and macromolecules such asnucleic acids, proteins, lipidsand polysaccharides. In eukaryotes the protoplasm surrounding the cell nucleus is known as the cytoplasm and that inside the nucleus as thenucleoplasm.

Protoplasm usually consists of Nucleus along with the living components of the cytoplasm i.e other organelles like golgi body,endoplasmic reticulum,mitochondria etc.
Mainly protoplasm is nucleoplasm+cytoplasm
