The law of momentum conservation can be stated as follows. For a collision occurring between object 1 and object 2 in an isolated system, the total momentum of the two objects before the collision is equal to the total momentum of the two objects after the collision.

Hi Mate,

rate of change of the total momentum of a system does not change, meaning this quantity is constant, and providing the principle of conservation of linear momentum: when there is no net external force acting on a system of particles the total momentum of the system is conserved.
