Answer:

Hydrogen acts as a connecting substance between light reaction and dark reaction.

Both light reaction and dark reaction occurs in a plant. Light reaction is commonly known as photosynthesis in which they prepare food by the help of sunlight and produce ATP which is a form of energy.

In dark reaction glucose is produced by the help of ATP which was produced in light reaction. There is no need of light or sunlight in dark reaction. Dark reaction is also known as Calvin cycle.

Hydrogen acts as a connecting link between both the reaction because hydrogen was used in light reaction for producing ATP and also it is been used in dark reaction for the production of glucose.
